Just putting together my Grizl 7 1by which arrived today.. my first question is what is the tab bolted to frame above chainring (in photos). It looks like a vestigial front derailleur hanger?
Second question is relating to brakes – it arrived set up on European standard (front brake on left side) but I’m used to British system – how much of a pain in arse will it be to swap over? I assume I’ll have to remove bar tape, bleed brakes etc?

That’s a front derailleur hanger. You can use it to attach a chain catcher if you want.
A) it is a front derailleur hanger. The grizl is also available in a 2 by version
B) if you switch break hoses you definitely have to rewrap the handelbar and bleed the breaks, which is not too difficult. But the length of the hoses may be too short, since they are matched to the actual routing.
