My first overnight and intro trip to bikepacking

I’ve been wanting to bike pack for a while now but wrestled with whether I’d have the right bike, gear, tent, etc. Finally said screw it and went on a short trip to the start of the Colorado Trail coming from Denver. Fun little ride that helped me learn what I want out of my gear and planning for next time (like quickly moving my sleeping setup out of the way of my legs and onto my back).

Would love to hear what you learned on your first rides and whether the best bike for a trip is the bike you already have!
