  1. I’ve spent the past year with this British racing green C-line M6E as my main bike and I couldn’t be happier with it.

    * It handles my short daily commute with ease.

    * It’s done some 40k+ rides, handled gravel and dirt, done some mild trails. Rain, snow, etc etc.

    * Maintenance has been very easy.
I give it a full drivetrain clean every 2-3 weeks or as needed from particularly dusty rides. Even after a particularly bad crash, it just needed a brake adjustment.

    * Only last week did I get my first flat, which was caused by a faulty pump. I keep the tire pressure above 90 and still haven’t had a true puncture.

    * it’s mostly stock, but the grips and pump had to go. I might have to replace the bell soon, but that’s the worst of it.

    * The only times I’ve felt the need to ride my other bike (all city space horse) is when I need to lock it outside a movie theatre.

I expected the Brompton to be a compromise, but it really turned out to be the perfect city bike that can take on the odd adventure.
