  1. Super nice. I have friends who moved to the Basque area and I have a friend who used to race a bit in Spain 30 years ago. Trying to see about getting a group to go ride some mountains. When you live in the American Midwest that is what you dream about, haha!

  2. Chris is a bit black clothed for safety especially with no rear lights. That light coloured jersey Francis is wearing is much more visible on those roads. Black or dark colours is ok for gravel biking. I agree the fresh produce is good in Spain my only gripe was the choice of food types other than Spanish was limited in the Supermarkets. You do find a lot of diverse food choices in the UK much like in Australia, Canada and the US.

  3. Did you use the eurovelo 8 route from Murcia to Cartagena (goes through el Valle del Sol)? I was there about 2 weeks ago and it's not bad! Will you be heading to Granada??

  4. Spain, I love the place, mind you I am biased as the family has a villa over there, you might of passed Playa Flamenca. Anyhoo, Murcia, you must not have cycled in to the Old Town, 100% traditional Spanish. Bravo.

  5. You guys continue to keep me inspired. Did a week in alicante up round Costa Blanca last year a week after seeing your videos with Jimmi. Francis you are THE KING OF LUGGAGE

  6. Looking forward to the daily videos in advance of my own similar adventure later in the year.

I will be running a very similar Tailfin set up as you (Aerofin + 2 panniers) which leads me to ask an incredibly dull Q for your Q&A – how did you transport the bags/luggage from the UK? Assume the bags don’t fit into the bike box so do you put them into a single disposable hold bag or something else?

Oh, and how is Chris mounting his front light?
