Yesterday I started wrapping a 20-year old project bike because of a very scratched up frame and I don’t have a place to paint the frame.
My kids looked at it and asked, “why a zebra” or “it’s marble, right?”
When I told them “it’s a mountain bike, these are topographic map lines” they bordered on blank stares. Should I take away their orienteering merit badge?

Might look better if the wrap overlapped at the bottom of the downtube so the misalignment weren’t visible?

You have sown a seed in them that will blossom… some day. They won’t remember why, but they’ll suddenly start to spend hours browsing Forest Service maps and CalTopo looking for this lost memory. 😎
