Terrible, heavy, noodly tubing, average geometry, could even be French standards (headset and BB) so no, even for free I wouldn’t touch this.
That is a “regular” old Peugeot bike, nothing fancy, is not a road bike (race) but the frame seems ok… If you know bike mechanics, and are willing to spend a lot of time in repairing it it will be ok, with a fair amount of effort and money.
If you are thinking to use it for a Neoretro bike build, some sort of gravelish bike that can take up to 700*35cc, the first thing to consider is that unless you have some spare bike pieces you will have to invest some money(350EU), and if you decide that it is a good idea… Just at least see if the bottom bracket can be served or repaired, that model if I am not mistaken only has 3 bolts, so first challenge. Then also consider that you won’t find replacements for most of its pieces since it is an old model.

i built this bike on a french frame recently. it’s not an easy task, but possible. i had to get a costume built BB, had to file the inside of the fork to fit the stem, drill bigger holes for the brakes and i couldn’t find a lighter seat tube as it’s not a standard size that anyone still uses. doable but definitely a tough project.
if you chrome the lugs it will sick
Yep, make sure the seat post and handlebar stem are not seized. Then you can build up from there. Also you may have a difficult time figuring out the bottom bracket if you’d like to update the crankset. They do ride very nice though, even the lower end bikes.
