Tinker is a real legend.
Tinker's longevity in racing is incredible.
The Legendary Tinker Juarez is a name synonymous with endurance and excellence in the world of mountain biking. After 40 + years of racing, Tinker soldiers on!
Loved the cameo appearance
At 54, I'm inspired by Tinker. I started riding in 1989
Funny, Tinker Juarez was how I got to this channel. I've never really followed mountain bike racing, and have only been mountain biking for a few years. I was chatting with a friend and I mentioned Tinker Juarez mostly in the context of skatepark riding and BMX racing. My buddy goes, "Is that the same guy that always races the Maah Daah Hey?", and I was like, "Tinker Juarez is racing out by Medora?" A few steps later, I'm subscribed.
I remember Travis Brown of Trek Volkswagen. Yes that was him in Sydney. Tinker your results at that time in xc started falling off because PED's hit super hard at that time. You deserve ultimate credit for always staying clean. You're the truest cyclist ever
In the early 2000's when i first started MTB Tinker Juarez was who I kind of idolized. I wanted a cannondale with a lefty oh so bad. Its so cool to see him still ripping! This channel is great btw.
Tinker was a legend for me and my friends riding and racing BMX and then following his career in MTB. Never really followed his ultra distance career. Tinker has had a broad a spectrum of fans. My impression of Tinker was a pure racer, no controversy, let his racing tell his story.
I have ridden the entire Maah Daah Hey on hardtail and it was great! It had been a dry both years I rode it, however, so there were not a ton of hoof prints on the trail. In talking with the locals, it sounds like most people ride it on full suspension. If I owned a lightweight, short travel full suspension bike, I would ride it. My 30 pound trail bike seems like overkill for the MDH and I prefer a lighter cross country bike on the MDH. The MDH is a spiritual experience for me and I hope to return!
