Doing 6 days on the c&o/gap this week after the eclipse and finally set up everything. This is my first bikepacking trip with my own gear, so the setup is a lot of cobbled together dry bags that I already had packed with my backpacking gear.

Congrats. IMO don’t worry about the matching gear. Just need to go out there and just start adventuring. You’ll get tons of insights and this will help you dial you’re gear in time. Have a great time!
