Tried one last week most awkward ride glad to get back on my speed twin 1200 . Ps it did look and sound nice apart from the colour green ,oh a 30 ml ride in the pissing rain ๐ pps glad you had a nice sunny ride
Cheers mate! Another 6โ4โ fellah here, although when I converted 110kg. to stone, I realised you are a wee bit heavier than meโฆ but Iโm a bag of bones. ๐๐ Loving everything Iโve seen about these bikes, need to go and get a test ride.
I took one out a couple of weeks back. It had another couple of hundred miles on it than the one you rode. I didnโt have any vibration issues, either from the pegs or the bars. Briefly saw north of 80, but thatโs not anywhere I plan going often. I think it will make an ideal A/B road machine. Itโs exactly what I was looking for, and I have ordered one. I tried a CRF300L which was uncomfortable, awkward, vibey and much less confidence inspiring, a Hntr 350 which felt cheap and underpowered, and a Scram 411 which was heavy, cheap and underpowered.
I bought the 400x last week . As existing RE's 500 & 650 owner, this bike is lighter, quicker off the blocks and easier to ride in traffic. Mostly i use my 650 parallel twin for touring but want to try out the Scrambler400x for touring in the mountains….it has enough torque to negate need for too many gear changes. What it lacks is the top end..after 90kmph that engine doesnt want to be pushed though it has a top speed of 150kmph. Mostly i got it for those quintessential English looks
I just found your Channel, great video. I am the same height and weight as you, so this helped me immensely. The shot of you sitting on the bike was also very helpful to gauge what I would look like on it. I'm defiantly getting serious about ordering one. Initially I was leaning towards the green, but that black and silver look stunning. Thank you for the great video!
For me the performance is not an issue, it looks absolutely fantastic, and itโs 5.5 K!! Itโs a no brainier imo , I had the Speed Triple 1200Rs and Iโll be ๐ฏ honest youโll have more fun on this I promise you that! Especially the Uk roads are absolute dog shit! For an everyday bike you need 2 things 1 Soft af suspension and 2 Good fuel economy and thatโs about it , itโs 20,30,40 mph in most places so 40 bhp is enough. Thatโs my opinion anyway Good review ๐๐พโ๏ธ๐๐ฝ

Good video looks a nice bike
Nice video. I watched it completely. I own this bike now in india. Driven 3000kms..so far so good. Sufficient for solo driving in any conditions.
Iโm the same height as you and I was curious about how comfortable it was for taller riders.

80+, how many miles on the clock. Not a demo to buy then
What a beautifull sky…bike looked pretty good as well
I will have to visit a dealership to see it up close.
Very nice review but sir reduce your weight by at least 20 kg ๐๐ฎ๐ณ
