Technically, I got the bike 6 weeks ago but it is finally all set up and ready for the first ride today.  🙂

It is a 2024 Specialized STR Comp.  I removed the stock GRX parts and put on a SRAM AXS mullet build.  It was a cheaper way to go than buying the frame or the super expensive STR Pro.  I also got a custom paint job.  They gave me some of the paint and I made matching bottle brackets.  It was a fun process figuring out what to get and building the bike myself.  I am very happy with the results!

SRAM GX Eagle 12 speed 10-52 Cassette

Roval Terra CL Carbon Wheels 700c with Pathfinder Pro 42mm

Roval Terra CLX EVO Carbon Wheels 650b with Pirelli Cinturato Gravel M 50mm

A big thanks to Carey and Matt at my local bike store First Mile Cycle Works (https://www.firstmilecycle.com/).  They are super knowledgable and great to work with.  They ordered the bike, helped spec out some of the parts, and fixed some of my build mistakes.  🙂

A big thanks to Joe and the team at Carbon Solutions (https://carbonsolutionsrepair.com/).  If you are in the SF Bay Area, this is the place to go for a carbon fiber paint job.  They worked with me to mix up the exact colors I wanted and did an amazing job painting the bike.
