Hey all,
So I was doing some work on my bike and accidentally knocked off my partner’s rear wheel which was leaning against the wall (bike on trainer).
When I went to grab the wheel, I noticed that the piece that the through axle goes through was loose, and under closer inspection, the cassette came right off. See pics.
I doubt the wheel falling over caused this, so it may have been an undetected issue already there. The o-ring holding the cassette seems to be fine. If it’s relevant, it’s a Mavic Aksiun Elite UST wheel with Shimano 105 cassette.
Appreciate the help!

Looks like a ratchet hub similar to those made by DT Swiss. They can come off pretty easily. Nothing wrong with it. Just pop it back on carefully. The skewer/axle holds it together when on the bike.
Normal for that hub, just pop it back on.
