Nope, you have SPD shoes and SPD-SL pedals by the looks of it. They won’t fit together.
Those shoes can’t take any other cleats as they appear to be MTB shoes, so you either need SPD pedals or shoes that take SPD-SL cleats.

Slight highjack and studied question what does the “SL” in SPD-SL actually stand for?

Definitely keep the shoes and get new pedals. Unless you are super high level, SPDs are great for most kinds of riding.

No. Wrong cleats. Those are SPD cleats on a 2-bolt shoe. You need 3 bolt road shoes and SPDSL cleats. Youll have to get new cleats and shoes, or just get SPD pedals. OP, what kind of riding sre you doing? For mountsin biking, get SPD pedals. For road biking, get new shoes and cleats.

No, these are not the right cleats. You have Shimano SPD (mountain bike) cleats, and you need Shimano SPD-SL (road) cleats.
Edit: the cheapest option would be to get a pair of cheap SPD pedals, like the PD-M520.
Shoes are SPD cleats, pedals are SPD-SL’s. These two are not compatible.
These SPD pedals are very cheap and very good.

Others have pointed out the difference, my recommendation is to keep your shoes and get new pedals. Even for road I prefer SPD over SPD-SL or Look etc
