My 2005 Jamis Xenith Team was getting more and more creaky. After pulling apart and greasing everything involving pedals, saddle, bottom bracket and headset it still was complaining during rides.
On top of all that it was getting more and more difficult to remove/insert the rear wheel. It wouldn’t sit straight in the frame without some help while tightening the QR. I decided to give up on it before it gave up on me.
Found this beauty on ebay and transferred all the components from the Jamis to it. Rides smooth and quiet. Need to saw the steerer down still but pretty pleased with it – think I’m going to quit plastic bikes for awhile!

I remember seeing those Lightspeed advertisements in cycling magazines as a youth in the 90s. They were like this strange unobtanium that you could never hope to see in real life, let alone ride. Almost like a mythical creature!

What is going on with your stem?
Also, congrats. My father and I share a litespeed and that frame is just glorious.

Beautiful, I love those. I rode one about 12 years ago and still remember it.
