I have a question for those more technically savvy than me:
I recently bought a 2023 epic evo pro with the sid ultimate 120mm fork with charger race day damper.
I set up my suspension using the great video that regularly gets posted on here (link above). Do you think that video is still applicable to more xc oriented suspension?
The rebound adjustment on the fork is 20 clicks. To get it adjusted so that the front wheel almost bounces like in the video, I have to use 19 clicks from close to open (faster rebound). I’m 150 pounds and shock pressure is at the recommended factory setting. Sag is appropriate. It’s my first lightweight short travel bike/fork so I don’t know how much of the harshness (compared to a longer travel trail bike) is to be expected.
Should I expect that a small short travel fork is not going to behave like the one in that video?

I say use that as a starting point, but tune it on the trail. Ride a section a few times, changing rebound settings a bit each time. See what feels good to you.
