Hi, I don’t know much about mountain bikes. I live on a small island in Sweden and I would l love to get into the sport. However, my options are very limited here. I found this bike via Biltema (a discount store). It looks quite good but could anyone give me a more informed opinion?

As a starter bike this is a fine bike. It has some good components and to be honest, I started on a biltema bike too. I had a lot of fun on that bike so I don’t see a problem with this bike. The shifter is deore which is a very nice shifter and better then the sram sx on the cube analog whichis the same price as this bike.
Especially for Swedish trails, this bike would do just fine.
I would suggest looking for something used… I have not tried Biltema bikes, or Yosemite as this one is, but you would most likely be able to get a decent used one for that sum.
I am taking a wild guess that you are located on Bornholm. So getting to the mainland and hunting for a bike will be a bit of an adventure… but it will be worth it.
