Hey folks, i’m looking to buy my first full sus bike and i was looking at this one (friend has one which i tried),

I can get it from my LBS for 3999€ currently, my question is about the rear shock, i’ve read some horror stories about it blowing up on here, does anyone know if that’s the shock with issues or is it the new improved one?

If it’s a 2023 model, it might fail at some point, then you’ll take it back to the shop or send it to Fox and get a Factory spec 2024 model as a replacement.
Id sell it and just get a cheaper shock right away. Fox X2 is pretty much a DH shock, on low travel bikes a more progressive shock (one with smaller air volume) is generally better for most riders.
