What brand did you get? Or was it a cheap part from Alliexpress?

I am never buying structural parts from aliexpress, learning from other peoples mistakes….

That’s a pity, they look nice. And looking at that ‘front carrier block’ well: If you use that carrier block and you’re like me, overload that carrier block, I wouldn’t have much faith in it surviving long.

The only aliexpress thing that has stayed on the bike is the ez wheel extender and ez wheels for me. IMO it is an essential part as I have no rack. The bike just falls so easily when folded without it. That being said, I’ve had to locktite the screws on them, as one wheel fell off last summer and I spent ages finding it from my commute. The other ”major” mods I have kept are a brooks C17 saddle and grips.
As a 6’2” rider I gradually accepted that this bike can not be made any cooler with mods for me. For a regular person, it’s always going to look like a silly bike on a tall rider. It’s all about utility and quality of life improvements for me now, not changing structural parts or looks with some inferior quality parts.
