Hi! It’s my first post here and I thought I might share with you my heavily customized, battle-scarred, 2018’s Kellys Soot 30. I have had it for over three years and it has come a long way. At this point, the only original parts are the frame with fork, seatpost, and thru-axles.
The current setup includes:
* Wheels: DT Swiss GR1600 with Muc-off valves, Muc-off sealant, and Gravelkings SK+ 43mm.
* Drivetrain: Apex 1 with Garbaruk’s 10-50T, 11-speed cassette, oversized pulley cage, oversized pulley wheels, and also Baneless 42T oval chainring.
* Other: Fizik Terra Argo x3 saddle, Ritchey Comp Beacon 440mm bars, Topeak Loader bags.
For the money I’ve put into it, I could probably have something ‘better’. But was it worth it? Hell yeah. The gained experience – what works for me and what doesn’t – and lots of fun are priceless. Don’t be afraid of experimenting 🙂
