Tried to bike to my local sonic to meet with friends… 2 mile trip took 2 hours and had to hug the side of a crazy busy road full of high speed cars, almost died multiple times… got honked at too

Where is this?
There are places near where I live where you can follow a sidewalk until the pavement ends just like I see in your photos – the only difference being there is a sign post right in the grass there with a sign that says “sidewalk ends here”.
I think the IQ levels around here must be off low.
We visit my partner’s family for Thanksgiving; giant houses that probably cost millions, can’t walk or bike anywhere.
