Just installed an Outbraker splitter on my mountain bike so I can use front and rear brakes after exploding my left hand off last year. Unfortunately the hose bolts are too close together to use the strain relief covers. Are these covers mostly for cosmetics or what? Not sure how else I’d be able to set this up.

I’d just take a razor blade and trim a little off of each, so they fit. I’d say it’s primarily cosmetic, but if you crash I’d assume they would help a bit 🤷🏻♂️
