  1. If you don’t plan on going back to the smaller old wheel, you can carefully file the metal on either side away incrementally until it falls in.

  2. That fork is probably meant for a 9mm QR axle instead of the 10mm solid axle you have

    The fork is for qr hub which is 9mm and thw solid axle is 10mm/ 3/8ths. A demmel, file or angle grinder will do thw trick. But you can also pick up a use qr wheel for cheap offer 15- 40 blucks if they are missing the rear wheel.

    Go to a shop and ask about changing the axle to the correct size. Easy enough to do, it just requires some special tools.

  5. Just gently file it away. It’s only 1mm! even if you went back to 9mm axles, the difference won’t matter.
