I recently started reading Windbreaker (Dom Supremacy!) so decided to pick up a cheap fixed gear for commuting. I already have a MTB and BMX so really just wanted something steel that I could beat up and upgrade if I decided I liked it. I LOVE IT, there’s just something about fixed gear that feels right. Now I’m even thinking of converting my MTB to single speed.
Anyway here’s my $200 Crew Defender. Ratio is 33×13 but I’m planning to change the chainring soon. Other than that I just changed the saddle and cockpit so far.

I have the same brake lever on my bullhorns and love it.
I thought about grabbing one of these as a beater. I dont think ive commuted on a ratio that low how does it feel? Like what you did to it.
