There is nowhere you can find as many lighthouses in a small area as in Bretagne / Brittany in France. I cycle the V5-route, a bike route that follows the coast. Every day you’ll get a glimps of the Atlantic Ocean. There is loads of history, during the cycling route you’ll see menhirs, churches and villages built in between huge rocks. The Bretons have their own Celtic language, which is connect to Welsh.
We visit Brignogan-Plages, Phare de Pontusval, Meneham, Plouguerneau, where you find the highest lighthouse made of stone, on l’Île Vierge, Landéda, Presqu’Île Saint-Laurent and Le Conquet.

Wat een heerlijk om weer even wat van mijn favoriete vakantie regio te zien. Breizh is echt ontzettend mooi en eigenlijk wat ondergewaardeerd als vakantie regio. En eigenlijk vind ik dat ook niet zo erg. Want daarom kan je daar vaak nog (strand)wandelingen maken zonder vrijwel iemand tegen te komen. Hoog uit wat bewoners uit de streek. De gevarieerde kustenlijnen, het mooie binnenland. Er is zoveel te zien. En ook altijd leuk om even een vuurtoren te bezoeken en de klim naar boven te maken en dan van het uitzicht te genieten.
