I’m new to tubeless and was wondering if I can ignore this little tear, as it seems to be sealed down all around, and the edges of the tear aren’t lifting up or flapping. This is DT Swiss stock tubeless tape that the wheel came with pre installed.

Prob fine, but if it were me to avoid any potential frustration later I’d throw a small piece of Gorilla tape over the tear while it’s nice and clean and let er rip
It could let some sealant leak through into the rim potentially, you can patch it with some tubeless tape, or gorilla tape would be the cheap option like another guy mentioned, but I wouldn’t expect it to stay in place once it’s soaked with sealant. I usually use a section of tubeless tape and then hit it with a heat gun for a moment to help it stick.
Why wouldnt you just replace it? It’s easy enough to do. It is frustrating that’s how you received the wheel, I’d reach out to the retailer and see if they’d throw you a roll for your trouble
Just re-tape it. Tubeless rim tape is not that expensive.
This is fine.
