I would like to upgrade to something more capable than my hardtail (vitus sentier 27vr 2023) (and to save myself before I break it with now warranty) so I’m looking at something in the 150mm to 160mm range. These are the ones I am currently looking at. I am looking at the YT as it’s the best specced.
Budget around 3000 ish as you can see on the comparison site. Fairly new to the sport, about a year or so in, want to get into some more difficult trails on a more capable bike. Thanks guys!

Are you UK based
Sounds like all-mountainish you’re looking for? YT Izzo or Jeffsy are great. Ibis ripmo is another great one, Rocky Mountain instincts I’ve seen on sale. There are so many good ones out there, and tons of deals too, 3000 can get a lot right now. I’d recommend testing some out at a shop if you can make that happen somehow. All of these reputable bike makers make a great bike, just slightly different “flavors”. Personally, I have been riding for a long time and love my bikes (have a specialized stuntjumper evo and a Hardtail) but I’m sure I’d be just as happy on any modern all mountain or enduro bike. Happy shredding!
What about a spectral cf 7??
All great options. Speshys are a bit overpriced as usual with those NX builds but if you have a shop you want to buy through that you believe in sometimes its worth the cost.
YT vs Canyon is tough with the bikes so similar. One thing I will say is Canyon for some reason thinks they should make the AM trail bike 64 very similar to the Torque. Which isn’t quite what I’d want for every trail. If you only ride fast wide open gnarly trails or bike park it makes a lot more sense. But I like that the Jeffsy has a modest versatile head tube as well as the slightly steeper seat tube for actually pedaling the damn thing around.
Similar issues with the Speshys. Very slack head tubes and slightly slack seat tubes. As well as the super short chainstay on the Status and the slackest seat tube angle being an iffy combo for climbs. GREAT fun for manuals and poppin around, if you’re interested. But if you don’t do those things then the Status is kind of a waste. Less stability for no benefit.
Without knowing EXACTS for your scenario, Jeffsy is the one I’m most comfortable recommending. Status is optimal for jumping/playing, EVO is optimal for racing stability at speed, and Canyon is basically an alternative to the EVO for better value/spec. If you can afford both, I would try to choose which size fits you better as the geo is very very similar.
all those bikes are great, goodluck deciding 😀
