Hello fellow ~~kid~~s mountain bikers!
I’m looking for a bike I can both enjoy the few local trails we have and to be able to compete in local amateur XC contests. Bikes I’ve seen raced so far have been either carbon Scott Spark RCs or Merida Matts from 2008s. No inbetweeners lol.
Got the chance of getting this bike for 1150 EUR (\~1300 USD) + shipping. Condition looks solid and I am very happy to just go ahead and buy, however:
A few Qs before I enter my credit card details though:
\- I am a relative beginner and I feel like I’ve outgrown my 2012 Scott scale 35 at this stage. Would this bike be a good follow up?
\- The terrain where i live is relatively flat, mostly hills and forests/rooty landscapes in Eastern Lithuania. Is this bike overkill for such terrain? I’m looking at Canyon Stoic 4 and Nukeproof 275 as alternatives.
\- Is the 67.5 head angle something to be weary of in modern trails? I want to get something future proof, and something I can travel to more “interesting” places with.
Here’s the listing if it helps: [https://buycycle.com/en-lt/bike/top-fuel-8-2022-62814](https://buycycle.com/en-lt/bike/top-fuel-8-2022-62814). Do lemme know if you see any red flags – that pivot point does look a tad sketch to me.
Thanks!

A few red flags…
Shipping a used bike from a questionable website – something I would not trust. Too much money and risk of getting a clunker that needs parts replaced (if it even shows up)
