Newer to gravel cycling and looking to do a lot more this year. I think this is a 2012 Gary Fisher 8.3 Dual Sport? I threw on some new tires last year and recently took apart the “non serviceable” fork and spent a ton of time cleaning as much rust and gunk off everything and to my surprise it seems to be working 80-90% from factory when it was probably closer to 30% before.
I am not at all familiar with the different modifications on bikes old or now and if I am going to take biking more seriously would it be in my interest to sell this and find a newer, potentially more sturdy/ reliable bike? Or is this bike ready to continue for my years to come? Any thoughts are appreciated. Based on my research, FX3 seems to be where I’d try first if I go the new route.
