Video is from @ Onacom3uppp. Guy on ebike in front of him senselessly makes a turn without looking behind him. Ppl in cities can surely relate to the poor etiquette some people on the roads display. What do you all think of the video?

Guy on ebike should have looked but the fixed gear guy is riding like an idiot. Why did he decide to overtake him on the left? He should have slowed down and sticked to the right side of the road.
Why is he riding on the middle-left side of the road in the first place?
i used to watch onacomeuppp a ton when i was new to fixed gear but his videos have gotten boring. one thing i notice about this guy is he cusses people out over simple things
also this guy is super confrontational too, one thing is to ride like a douche. i’m sure some of us here ride like maniacs but to yell at people/cars or try to create further conflict is just something i can’t defend. i usually just try to swerve around and keep riding
yes the ebike is not allowed to cross that wat, but ona is also not allowed to overtake on the left. just slow down on kepp right of the e bike…if you cant slow down cause ur to fast to control, get a front brake…
Personality aside, ebike went from the right shoulder and beelined it to the wrong side of the double yellow. That’s a douche move.

Tbh I understand the frustration here. There are loads of guys on eskutas in my city to just straight up don’t know how the road works and don’t bother to check for basic things like “Is there someone coming down this road that I’m about to pull into?”
But as someone else pointed out here, you don’t have any lights on and you’re wearing black clothes and it’s nighttime. Fair enough you’re in the city and it’s fairly well lit but how can you complain about his behaviour without admitting you’re a hypocrite?

As soon as fixed gear saw the intentions of ebike going left he should have gone to the right side! Split second decisions what makes riding like that in NYC great!
Imho the fixed-rider is to blame 100%. He was seeing full well that the ebike was leaving the right side of the road with ample reaction time. Then the fixed doesn’t break at all and goes to the wrong side of the road (where the ebike obviously doesn’t expect an overtaking). Dangerous and reckless.
At that speed the ebike wouldn’t have seen him if i’d had looked behind…
The guy on the FG is a douche and an idiot.
No matter how much of a fixed gear ninja you are, other road users can and will make (bigger or minor) mistakes, so you must be prepared to avoid collisions.
If you get into conflicts and near-miss situations regularly, you honestly should question your riding style.
Guy is riding for internet clout on a brakeless fixed gear at night in all black clothing – roll the dice and you get what you get.
Having worked as a courier and just having a set of eyeballs and a partial brain, you can tell the other person is veering and coming across the lanes. There’s almost 3 full seconds until he has to make a move, and chose to ride into the oncoming lane rather than pull to the right which any normal person would do.
Not to condone the brain dead move of the other person, but a skilled rider could have avoided a dumb interaction like this, but I suppose that’s his schtick.
Plus is that a cop car with their lights on he’s riding up behind? Hope he blew past them if so.
E-bike veered left first, so why would you go for the pass on the left? Being a no brakes rider, he should’ve read that better.
