Help Pls

So i got a replacement kilo tt fork in 1″ threadless. Was running one prior with same headset, but fork was bent from a collision. Now this new fork, the top bearings cover wont install (spacers & stem slide on perfectly). Have been sanding it the past bit but not much happening. What would you do?
