I decided to convert my Scott from a 2x to a 1x, the gear ranges are almost perfect with the standard 10s 11-34 rear cassette and the 42t on the front.
The only thing I changed was the chainring everything else is stock.
It also looks way way nicer especially with how Scott routes their cables.
The front derailleur will be removed by the local shop when it is in for a service next week as I cba to deal with the internal routing.
I will likely add a chain guide after the service although I do have a narrow wide chain ring.
