Oh, didn’t know that this exists. I will join in your question event though I’m riding Mavic Allroads.
Any drawbacks in riding QR vs axle?

Yeah that should be it. See if you can find a video on YouTube, but if Mavic hubs are like DT Swiss hubs all you need to do is use a flannel and pair of pliers to pull your old end caps off, then pop those in.

Yes, I have done exactly this with a pair of aksiums. Works fine.
Also, don’t be alarmed if your freehub comes loose when you replace the rear drive side end cap. The end cap helps to keep it in place. I freaked out when that happened on my Mavic Crossmax.
