👻 Every gas engineers worst nightmare 👻
Worcester Bosch 30si, turned off at the power for a boiler service, turn back on and the boiler won’t fire…
Fan just keeps pulsing ends up going to ignition lockout…
Do we fit a new fan or do we have a top tip…

Turn it to this one straightforward boiler service turn it off at the power turn it back on now the Fan’s pulsing before you reach for a new fan got a little trick to show you you can hear it going through the ignition sequence you can see the gas

Valve opening but it’s just not doing anything eventually I’ll go to ignition lockout and then I’ll whip out the hair dryer and warm up the PCB on the fan then we’re going to turn it back on still with a bit of heat that’s not reset my bad then I’m going

To reset the boiler and watch it fire [Applause] you’ve literally just witnessed me bring back a fan from the dead with a hairdryer Happy Days

  1. Had to use this trick a few times..
The older worcester fans pre 2016 tended to suffer from this due to the power surge when reconnected after a buner seal replacement, after the power lead disconnected.
Best idea is to leave the fan lead connected when removing the 'banana'..
