I was biking home yesterday when a wild crosswind around 30mph threw me into a guardrail. Caught the back of my hand between the handlebars and the rail breaking the 3rd proximal metacarpeal. I still rode the rest of the way home. Currently waiting to see if this needs further medical attention.
Just a freak accident. And now I know there is something worse than a headwind.

Update: 4th not 3rd. No surgery needed. Going to be in a cast for 6 weeks.
