

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with lowering my stem by putting normal 1 1/8“ spacers above the stem. I read on s previous post that this is possible. But for me this didnt worked… 🙁 the spacer is too chunky and wont go in the gap between the fork shaft and stem (see picture)
Do you guys know what i am doing wrong?

I’d say the easiest bet there would be to find thinner spacers, or filing down one until it fits. Even cutting out a small slice would work, the spacers above the stem are only compressed a bit while you’re tuning the compression bolt, then they have no structural role. You could even remove them once the stem is properly torqued.
