Things are ultimately worth what people will pay.
To me that bike is worth about 100,-.
That paint job is available now on a disc brake frame for 2750,- which is probably about 2200,- above what it is worth in my estimation.
But again, to each their own. People buy expensive bikes all the time and there’s nothing wrong with it. If the paint job is worth $2k+ to you go for it!
