  1. I think you are taking the right approach so far. You might try to extend the “lever” with something, like a piece of pipe.

  2. You mean the crank/spindle bolt? The bolt head looks intact, so I see zero issues. Just make sure you use a 6-point socket head and a cheater bar. If you attach a 4 foot pipe to the wrench, even a 10 year old could take it off.

And I hope you’re doing it with the bike upright with both tires on the ground…makes it a lot easier than trying to hold a bare frame in place while you’re trying to work the wrench.

Impact driver, yeah. No need for a 4-foot pipe, just borrow/rent/use existing impact driver with a 6-point socket that fits the bolt

  4. Are you going lefty loosey? Crank bolts are all right hand threaded unlike the pedals.

I would apply some pb blaster or rustoleum type liquid and let it penatrate overnight, then proceed.

Someone loctited it in, I bet. There is probably damage to the taper interface on the crank and this was someone’s solution to keep ti from falling off.

Use 2+ toe straps to secure the other crank to the chain stay.

    Then just a bigger lever.
