TODAY’S SUBJECT is a night time video project at a nearby badgers’ set using my new (updated) Trail Camera MAXDONE model PH820W.

GENERAL STUFF
I am retired from two careers of primary school teaching when I was deputy head of a Middle School and Primary School, and as a self employed Chalkboard Artist from 2002 until I reached the grand old age of 65 in 2016. Since I retired it’s like a second childhood but with more expensive toys.

I play guitar and write songs and have written about 14 songs for the local BBC radio station. I run a weekly (weakly) evening Acoustic session at a local pub and have been doing so for 14 years now. I also started an afternoon acoustic session in a quite large cafe in Nuneaton. Both premises were former songwriting clients of mine.

Much of the music I use on this channel is taken from epidemicsound.com free to use on Youtube for a reasonable monthly fee, and sometimes I suffer you with my own music.

Gear that I use:
DJI Mavic Mini 3 Drone.
Iphone 15 Pro for camera, generally front facing so I can see myself in frame. Super quality especially if I keep the lens clean.

Gimble is a Q2 Smooth by Zhiyun, I ought to use this more often because it was expensive.

Mono pod is a Manfrotto Compact MMC3-02 and is very useful for getting high angles that look like low flight drone shots and so easy to carry on my bike along with the mini tripod.

Well good morning it’s johnil here it is Friday the 22nd of oh where are March 2024 it’s 7:00 in the morning and uh I’m just going to investigate and have a look see what’s happened to my uh camera which is stood overnight next to a badger Set Oh honestly the things I do to keep myself amused right well it’s been raining overnight so that shouldn’t be a problem uh the new trail camera that I bought um is very good it’s got some Bluetooth connections as well um this is a popular dog walking spot not a lot of

People in fact there’s somebody over there with a dog and I hear a bird there’s a robin where is he not there right let’s uh make my way over to the corner of this field where there certainly are some Badgers I spoke to somebody yesterday who uh lives just around the corner very

Nice Chap and he has always been looking for the badges how did he know that was what I was doing but indeed I was so I just make my way around and see where I can see I’m quite hopeful there because uh there’s certainly been uh signs of

Activity you know some fresh soil come up out the hole so let’s have a look and see what’s on the camera that was successful still got the camera at least and uh I’ve got a a shot of a badger uh he didn’t put much into the

Script but he had a good to look around a big fellow as well and then trotted off in the direction I thought he would across the fields over there so at least it has worked and worked very well so uh I have to think of another venue

Another place to see if I can see some more Well that was very successful I uh think the camera is very good uh I don’t F the badger sets so I may try another location or I might can go back there and set it in a different place so it was very good anyway thanks for watching
