I recently accepted a job for the summer at a boat club that is about a 30 minute bike ride (according to google maps) from the closest town and I want to have a more affordable option to get around. I know absolutely nothing about bikes and would just like help with making my decision. I’ve been looking on facebook marketplace since I have a really small budget.
The top bike shown is 26inch Murray Westpoint beach cruiser that was originally purchased in a set- $40
The bottom bike is Murray Westpoint monterey – $60
These are just two that I messaged the sellers about but I am willing to spend more on a quality bike but as of right now this is just a summer position so I don’t want to blow a ton.
Please help and give advice on what I should do/other quality bike brands that are affordable!

How many miles is the ride going to be? Will there be a bicycle lane or path the whole way? Any hills along the way?
These are both going to be heavy and single speed which would make any sort of hills or a long commute suck.
I would recommend trying to find a cheap hybrid instead of a beach cruiser.
