  1. Holes, but reinforce them with some hardware store metal strips with holes, so the plastic bottom does not carry the load.

  2. Holes and zips ties is always the answer I had a milke crate on my bike for months like that and I only took it off because I bought something else a little nicer “coolcave panniers” from specialized

  3. Not as creative, but you can adopt the MIK system by getting their adapter plates.

    you’ll basically install the adapter plate into the box, and then put an adapter plate on the rack. If you don’t have the rack yet, get a MIK rack so that it mounts as-is.
