  1. Sorry if this is obvious, but want to double check before I toss the tube in the garbage bin.

    I noticed that my tire was losing air when I wiggled the stem. Upon deeper inspection I noticed the base of the stem had partially separated from the tube. Is it my fault this happened? (Stem nut too tight/loose)?

    This can sometimes happen if you tighten the nut too much or if you don’t have enough pressure, which allows your tube to move around in the tire.

    It can’t be fixed, you need a new tube.

  3. Common problem where the metal and rubber meet. Some say not to tighten the valve stem nut too tight on the rim, some say it happens if you don’t tighten it enough; I don’t think it makes a difference. Can’t be fixed.
