I saw a video here on YouTube made by travel guru Rick Steves some years ago… he rented a bike in Murren and rode down to the valley floor and stopped to see the falling water at Trümmelbachfälle. I spent some time in advance trying to duplicate his ride. I couldn’t–I think the lift he took is no longer in operation. But I did find a way to make a similar but different circuit: We rented bikes in Lauterbrunnen, rode the valley floor south (could have stopped at Trümmelbachfälle, but didn’t have the time), took the Stechelberg LSMS lift to Murren, rode through Murren and worked our way up a trail and then down a long trail for something like an hour and a half–all downhill. Ended up back in Lauterbrunnen. Highly recommend this ride–even in the rain.

So turns out this is not all flats or downhill them yarn you go up a hill with some size because the tail breaks into a hiker trail and mountain bike trail you did across our mind to take the hiker tail yes yes it did if we do it now but

Mostly because some hikers came along so you can’t go here so they said it’s just a little hill and then you write down the fact that we’re all walking yeah not exactly a little hill but I’m throwing in some of this winded breathing just for a fact To the bottom it’s rain like heck a few minutes ago to the point where there were little four-inch rivers of water running down each one of these tire tracks We have been coming downhill for forever And we have spoken that ways to go You know what a scenic area scenic you

  1. Thank you so much for the information, I found your video because I watched Rick Steves video too. I will be in the Alps towards the end of April so I'm planning on doing this bike ride too. So it looks like I can rent a bike in Lauterbrunnen to do this ride, thanks again.
