Ipswich Fire Station

Out and About in Ipswich and today we take a look at Ipswich Fire Station which is located in Princes Street in a IP1 Postcode.

The combined Fire and Police Station opened in 2023 and cost just over £5 Million against the Budget of £4.1 Million so not very well costed out.

Welcome back to the uh Channel everyone uh today we are out and about an nip switch and we going to take a look at ITP switch fire station who are located in Princess Street in an ip1 post code which is maintainable at the uh public expens now the fire station is uh shared

With the uh the police station uh which You’ have seen on a previous video and the fire station like the police station opened in 2023 and was given the Royal seal of approval by Princess M and the station like I just said is shared with

The um the local uh local police now the cost to build the shared police in fire station was just over £5 million from the original contract sum of 4.1 million now the fire station is in the South District of iwit and is a whole time fire station and is

Supported by uh an on call crew now the officer in charge is Neil Young And there are four different watches and the watch managers are green watch Simon wood white watch Simon Patterson red watch Simon bra and blue watch Dan Davis so uh I do like there Simons at uh

At this station so this is uh Prince’s uh Prince Street fire station in uh in nip switch so so as you can see just scan around it’s a very uh very nice modern modern building just zoom in you got the Union flag fly at the top and there’s your scan just

Over you got part of the uh some offices there and that’s also the entrance for the uh the police station just around the side there so let’s get a little bit closer see we film Through the Windows and have a look at the pumps so be nice to comes

Out so can’t I can’t see it but hopefully the camera is uh picking it up see Zoom set Zoom right out looks like there’s only one pump in the in the station so you can’t really uh not sure if that picked out going to thr a walk around the uh to the back

Gate uh you never know much see one uh sees uh vehicles coming back in if they’re out on the sh uh it does hold three vehicles this one but there’s only one uh one Appliance actually in the station uh at the moment so you got a front office just here uh

But I’ve been in there on the previous video so the front office is mainly um is manned by uh police staff I’ll quickly go in and um show you just uh I won’t I W going there’s people actually waiting in there so I don’t invade people’s uh

Privacy uh could be there reporting a crime or could be victims of crime so this just go back from here you never know might get a uh a PL a fire Appliance coming in or out I think they’ll be coming in from this way and I think they go out from the other

Side uh but there are some police vehicles here and see every you might get to see a police vehicle uh come in so this is all publicly accessible uh this area just here hope the sun’s there let me just get out the sun with camera so this is the

Uh back of the fire station it’s just a shame we not seeing any uh any appliances zooming on that over there this is a a jet Washer by looks of it I think it’s a jet washer or is it for tires or is it both can’t quite work it

Out there a sign on the door it says fats collection and pickup Point not sure what fats mean means if anyone knows what fats means maybe you’d like to uh leave a comment and again it’s a smoke and vape free site and the CCTV uh on the area is controlled by suffer

Constabulary and uh it says on there the uh who the data Handler and controller is on on there okay and let’s have a look at the police vehicles again even though doing the fire stations have a quick look just in case you haven’t seen the uh the video that I actually did of

Uh of this location so there’s loads of police vehicles or uh down There I don’t I don’t think there’s any gaps in there it’s a shame there’s no gaps in the fence around there like get a front angle of those but from here they all look pretty uh pretty clean the suff St Vehicles so I’m just going to give it a few

Minutes might be a short video uh this one just to see if any uh police saw fire appliances come uh come in or out think is with the fire imp plants appliances you really want them to stay in the station you don’t really want them coming out cuz that means they’re

Going to S where potentially someone life at risk or something like that so so I’ll just give it a few minutes here it’s actually quite cold here so what going to do I’m actually go across on the other side of the load get some rise stand in the

Sun then I’ll get some good hopefully get some good shots and it gives me a better scope so juming there just where I was walking about [Applause] So I missed that notice that that sign there when I was doing the uh the police station assuming it’s another recruitment ban so it’s like I was saying on the the video that I did for the police station all the signage and everything it’s all about recruiting new officers but nothing about crime

Stats a lot of times uh when you’re doing photography and auditing guys it’s just standing around waiting for that good shot So I’m just going to give it a couple more minutes to see if we get any [Applause] vehicles yeah I’m sticking overhead shot in unfortunately can’t uh fly the Drone today in an FR frz well not an F frz I’m in a an authorization Zone and I’m uh I’m not able to unlock it mainly cuz I don’t know how to so learning care for me I always believe

You learn something every day I’m sure someone will leave a comment give me advice on there to un look it but say I should have uh read up on myself I think did it through the DJI app actually but I’ve got loads of uh all on the ca I’ve got loads of videos
