Walking and cycling index it’s a report which is commissioned by the Capo Authority and carried out by sustrans and basically what it is it’s asking people from all walks of life what would help you if you wanted to cycle more walk more wheel more just feel more confidence about getting out there and
What is the appetite for that kind of travel well the findings of the report show there’s overwhelming support for walking wheeling and cycling and creating more space for those activities throughout Liverpool City region this is part of the overall walking and cycling index which asked 25,000 people all over
The UK what their attitude to walk wheeling and cycling was and what they would like to see to make it easier for them to walk and wheel and cycle in their home City it is really popular people want to be able to leave the car at home more often and get around under
Their own Steam and it’s great that we keep getting the data that says people want more of this well over the past few years we’ve moved beyond the rhetoric and we’ve actually started delivering excellent high quality cycling and walking facilities like on Lim Street like on the Strand some great stuff
We’ve been doing parts of the city like Castle Street for example but there’s much more to come we’re actually at this stage of doing some really significant delivery of high quality cycling and walking infrastructure that will give people the opportunity to walk and ride their bikes as the First Choice rather
Than a last result well we’ve already invested about7 million into active travel infrastructure and we have huge plans really ambitious plans to increase that over the next term and and of course what we’ll do is continue to fight for more national government funding so we can do more of the

Really glad that Youtube is recommending me a video about Liverpool's infrastructure videos… when I live thousands of kilometers away from Liverpool.
Great having cycle paths etc, But where are the Secure Bike Parking Areas ? Useless getting into town and not having anywhere safe to secure my bike.
