First off, I’m new to bikes so I don’t know much. I got this bike a month or two ago used, and didn’t notice the weird sounds when I first bought it, unfortunately. Its a Spot 5 Points with a SRAM 1-3 belt drive system. When I’m in third gear, sometimes this cyclical clacking sound shows up. It seems to be coming from somewhere around the rear wheel assembly, and not the pedals as far as I can tell. It’s only when it’s in third, and it doesnt happen consistently. Shifting down then back up occasionally fixes it, but not for long. Pedals fine aside from the sound, but its kinda loud. Makes me think something might be slipping, misaligned, or too tight.

Any Ideas?

  1. This is a SRAM IGH? What model is the hub?

Since you bought it used I assume you don’t know the service history, mileage, etc on the hub and since last oil change?
