Humans should never go where wild animals are because when a wild animal kills a person, it sadly ends up being hunted down and shot. Stop going to their habitat and getting them in trouble. They live there. Go bike and walk in a city park. Humans don’t deserve nature.
I read an article where a mtn biker came around a bend and ran right in to a bear on the trail. Threw him over the bars. Bear crushed his skull with his teeth.
Predators are hardwired to chase things that are running. The bikes "appear" to be running from the bear's perspective. Stop, get off the bike and slowly walk by. Looks like they handled it right. Finally, not really very smart to build a bike path through the woods in bear country.
