I’m an old BMXer. I quit when I was 16 and didn’t get back on a bike for 20 years. It’s been a year and a half now. Here’s my journey from first wheels off the ground to today. Sorry it’s so long!

I quit in my senior year of high school. There was just too much happening and so many new things to experience at that age. The scene in the area felt pretty dead too. The few people who stuck with it had to spend their weekends driving to Louisville for a decent park.
After the college years, I found myself living smack in the middle of the city so I let my car rot because commuting by bike was so easy and enjoyable. It wasn’t until last year, having been in Colorado for 5 years, that I finally got a MTB.
Fantastic progress and helluva hop you got. There’s something about riding MTB that brings me back to those days as a BMX punk.
