P.A.C.E signed sealed & Delivered at Ipswich Police Station

Out and about in Ipswich today and we pay a visit to Ipswich Police Station who are located in Princes Street in a IP1 Postcode and opened in 2023 at a cost to the Tax Payer of £5 Million and went over Budget by £900K.

Obtained PART A of PACE from the Front office who were happy to print it out.

So welcome back to the uh Channel everyone I uh hope you are all well we are out and about today in uh IP switch and we’re going to take a look at IP switch uh police station we are located in uh Princess Street in an i1 uh ip1

Postcode which is maintainable at the uh the public expense now the uh this police station it’s a fairly new one it opened in 2020 and was given the RO approval by princess app and the uh station is actually shared with the uh with the fire station as well now the cost of

Build uh the shared police and fire station was just like £5 million now the original contract sum was 4.1 million so you know it’s 900,000 or getting on to a million pound overspend uh on the um on the budget now this police station is in Alexandria W and in December

2023 uh in this world 253 crimes were reported and I’ll stitch in the crime map so you can see what that is and the uh the top four crimes uh were violence and sexual offens is 95 shop lifting 41 public bout 30 and criminal damage and arson 21 now quite disappointing uh there

Actually no police priority shown on the uh the suff website and there’s no uh current stop and search uh data uh as well so I’ll uh I’ll stitch in the email address of the uh of the comce department so you can actually uh sort of email them now

The chief coun for suffk is Rachel Kon who is suffolk’s first um female Chief constable and she was appointed in December [Applause] 2022 [Applause] So let’s have a look at this um 5 million planned uh police station sou sh which is um a part of suffk constabulary so I won’t go in first of all it’s just to go down oh go down the side so ground floor Windows all reflexive glass which is uh which is pretty

Good just going have a look at the back gate first and then we’ll uh we’ll go inside uh to the front counter if they’ve got one uh it’s what I’m trying to do is build up my own copy of pace so I ask him oh so ask them to

Print me out the last police station I visited uh which is stevenage they had no problems they printed me out some so this is all publicly accessible this uh this area here I won’t uh be stepping in Side so let’s have a look what we can see so that’s the fire station back there so we got some police vehicles all lined up here so zoom in and all of those not sure if there’s a fence around there that I’ll be able to see them in

Yeah the fence around the side there’s got uh all bushes uh gr but there’s uh quite a few police vehicles there all lined up I’d prefer to see them not in the car park actually actually out patrolling but it must be uh probably a response base um sort of here as well

And there’s a few bikes in the uh bike shed so I don’t know whether or not they are yeah they’re Police use bikes so you got mounting bikes there by looks of it so sign now this is a smok and vape free site and uh private property no public uh

Access so just going to film the police yard first I’m going to do the fire station uh after after this video oh sorry so there anything else in the uh car park just probably personal uh personal vehicle course so it’s quite a small car par but it’s quite a small

Station now there was another station uh in IP switch but that’s been uh demolished uh now so there’s people there but I think they’re more to do the fire station so leave them alone for a minute so there a back entrance there into the uh the police station see around

Here so i’ got the assembly Point here event of an emergency uh so you got CCTV sign there tells you who the uh the data data controller is so that’s suffer constabulary and they got the phone number so that’s uh that’s good so yeah that’s

The uh that’s the fiber Gade so I’m not interested in the fiber Gade at the moment so let have a the front office think you can see it’s a white new building zoom out so they’ve got the Union flag flying it’s on the fire station side

Though it’s pretty tight I can see it’s pretty uh got a couple of recycling bins there uh what’s good there’s not really any litter uh about it’s falling Twigs off the uh the tree maybe being picky so if you want to get someone out to to get them got a camera just there

On sidewalk facing me to see if it swivels no it doesn’t so you got the police scientist there not really a lot on the uh not is B so So so it’s like the front office is open Monday to Saturday 9 to5 close on Sunday and bank holidays no other real sort of policing notices on there other then looks like uh more recruitment more than anything else to join the uh join the place so it’s got the out of hours telephone

Number the yellow phone of disconnection make sure that it’s oh sorry about that just make sure it’s y it work in order got no defib though can’t see a defib anywhere no def around the side it’s Fire and Rescue so get morning morning would you be able to

To do is build up my own copy and I haven’t got I haven’t got a printer so every police station I visit I ask for yeah no problem batch of pages if you need me to copy them then just let me know all right if you got time you print

Out a lot so me keep [Laughter] asking so it’s good that you uh you actually got it on on hand there’s a lot of police stations actually don’t have it do they not no we do yeah yeah we sometimes get asked for it so it’s good

To have it to be able to give to the person it’s quite a big up yes yes it is but if you need anything obviously let me know and I’ll um is is the uh old station demolish now which one’s that the one that was before here Museum

Street yeah no it’s still there still um the police aren’t in the building yeah the building is still there think watch think what pages I’ve got I think they printed me off code C page six that was these ones there yeah if you can print like six or

Seen before in any videos uh maybe be Brit audits has had at it once where the actual front office actually have a copy of paste the hand actually never seen that before and as you can imagine and I’ve watched hundreds and thousands of different auditing videos from my uh my colleagues and fellow

Auditors so there two stations on the balance where I’ve had a positive result which is perfect for For fantastic news putting Pace out for me so is say half sh Stu Reed this is that’s is for the fire station we we call The Joint building but people come in so we can get offices police employees a video on police station wor appreciate that that’s really that’s really great thank you very much no worries just one thing if you pass on

To some of that on the website for suff and for this War uh there’s no information on what police empties are website yeah it’s on your website yeah so it’s got with the crime stats and everything because I talk about the crime stats and quite a lot of forces

Normally have whatling priorities are which then quite often TI to the crime stats but there’s nothing on there at all and also not it’s Bo outside it’s all about recruitment there’s nothing there about messages to the Public Information yeah you probably find Lo of my subscribers will emailing to as well quite often uh my subscribers will Blitz your com Department with hundreds hundreds of emails yeah that all cheers thank you very Much Excuse my camera work here just un plugged in at the moment cheers thank you can okay so that’s a positive experience uh on the police station now uh just going to go back around SP SP a few more minutes be good if I can get a a police vehicle coming out I’m not

About uh suff constabulary but you know this is the first suffer police building I’ve been to uh it’s positive but I was talking to another auditor uh recently uh War West AIT report and uh I think it was on uh chill in the UK I think was talking there we

Had CH off chill chill in the UK was talking about sort of sure it was him it might be myy in between no talking about sort of tyrant officers and I made a comment that I haven’t really I’ve been ating what a year now and uh I haven’t really come across a tyrant

Officer and war did say it will happen so sure it will but I don’t know if it’s cuz I’m older my mannerisms CU I’m generally quite polite as you know unless uh I’m uh spoken to uh rude then I’ll give it back cuz I like to mirror how people speak to

Me I’m just going to wait I’ll probably be uh I probably will cut this I’m going to keep the camera rolling uh so it might dip out so if police of fire engine goes in or out then I’ll uh least I got a good chance of picking it up

No me I’m standing here and one or I probably go flying past that load there let me stand there stand over over here cuz then if uh so she uh saw me talk to Frank clerk you know extremely you know professional courtious there but I did mention and I

Will put in the email address of coms Department there really should be public information on the Police website and on the notice for outside about what the policing priorities are for a particular area uh at least the at least their members of the public know where our money is being

Spent so now I’m just photograph doing a gate in that at the moment but uh what will happen is the minute I walk away would be the minute that uh the police vehicle comes out or comes in when I was filming R hour earlier couple of police vehicles did go past on

Blues it’s a shame I can’t try byy the Drone so is what I’ll do cuz we walk by uh it Town um station and I’m uh bit missing me really I haven’t really looked up how you get uh authorization zones unlocked other than phing the CIA uh cuz I’ve never come across it

Before where I’ve had to actually unlock an area uh maybe I should have done it uh before and so you know note for me you know you learn something new every day so is what I’ll do before the next time I go out I’ll you know I research areas

I’m going through anyway but I will really check the flight restrictions which is what I don’t really do for an area and um it should have dawned on me with it being a uh football ground there even though it’s not match day that there be some sort of fright restriction in

Place and you can open it up I’ve seen like loads uh loads Before So is what we’ve got just over there and I zoom in we’ve got hip switch Crown C so uh I’ve only done one C previously so will be uh do a tour of that that building as well see how security react I know you got to be careful filming around uh

Colts and you can’t even go on their land you got to be really really careful uh cuz the Lord does stay within the perimeter of their land as well so and you got to be careful that you’re not filming judges or potential witnesses as well so uh you could

Unwittingly be uh committed in the fence but it’s a f new building as well but looks it but I’ll be covering that a bit later on today and that’ll be out on the video in the next few uh next couple of weeks guys I don’t think we Gap any Poli Vehicles
