i have a sleeping bag that is too bulky, i would like something between 600/800 g, to save weight for my trip in Iceland. It is really warm but i want to use a backpack in my rack (30l) i fear that it will take to much place.

can you help me to find something warm and not expensive, i was also thinking to take ortlieb bags 40 L and then put the sleeping bag in the top, but with a backpack i can save 2000g~ just need to change the spleeping bag. I will go to a shop and try a backpack similar of what i want and who knows maybe i can keep this sleeping bag and change it another time.
thank for ur time

900 grams isn’t great but it’s not terrible either. Before you replace the bag, have you tried a compression sack to get the sleeping bag down to a little smaller size?
You should never wear a heavy backpack while riding because it’s extremely uncomfortable. Put everything on your bike. If you’re looking for a decent bag i think the Aegismax Nano 2 might do the trick. You can also check out some synthetic quilts but you need a warm sleeping pad.

Warm, light and not too expensive? You can usually have 2 out of these 3 things.
I just picked up this: https://www.thelasthunt.com/products/rab-mythic-ultra-180-sleeping-bag-left-zip-regular-32f-0c-llll-rab-qsi-34?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwqdqvBhCPARIsANrmZhPIMzpU0Ln1OVSu6a4zRLY_4mrQo6ElwLaElEfuaAwDGcHGP1NLo64aAksMEALw_wcB
Which seems ‘not too expensive for this bag’.
Its super light, packs tiny, relatively warm and is 40 percent off.
