  1. I suspect it’s Italian since the derailleurs are Campy and the cranks are Gipiemme. Frame made in Italy too.

  2. The left side is going to be RH threads in any case. You could take it off and see if the diameter is 34.8 mm (English) or 36mm (Italian). You could even do a test fit with a cup of known diameter. English cups will be very loose in an Italian shell.

    And if there is no need to replace, you can do the overhaul while leaving the fixed cup in place.

    Italian – 70mm
    British Standard – 68mm
    Use this as another marker, not 100% definitive

    Typically the threading is engraved on the cup. 36x24f is Italian, 1.37x24tpi is English.
