Lauf Seigla Race Transmission or Canyon Grail CF SLX 8 AXS?

I currently have a 2021 Giant Revolt and like the ride, but am looking to move to electronic shifting and seeing if a 1x setup would fit my needs. I don’t want to fully convert this bike, but wanted to also try something new and round out my bike options for my riding styles.

**Ride characteristics:**

* Rides are usually solo, between 30-80 miles. I like to carry a good amount of self-sufficiency gear, but don’t need a bikepacking rig
* I mix up Z2 with harder paced rides while looking to increase my fitness and FTP and get faster for my increasingly limited time to train
* 80% Gravel/20% roads – mostly flat riding in the Midwest USA
* Occasional gravel group rides where I’d like to have a slightly faster advantage in the bike to hang on more easily
* Several trips per year to higher elevation areas with chunkier gravel and more climbing
* Potentially start getting into 100mi events, but not super competitively

\+ probably a capable road bike with the right tires
\+/- unsure of ability to increase gear range in back (does it have UDH to support SRAM Eagle Transmission/10-52 mullet setup?)
\- potentially stiffer or less comfortable on longer rides
\- 42mm max width (this is what I currently ride and have taken on trips with chunkier gravel, so I may not need to go higher)

\+ More comfortable/capable on chunky gravel with Lauf fork
\+ SRAM Transmission
\+ power meter included
\+ massive tire clearance for more options
\- No internal storage
\- heavier, likely not as fast
\- E13 wheels/hubs with 6-bolt seem like a downgrade

I know these are two very different bikes, but I’m wondering how close I can adapt either one with a cassette/derailleur/chainring swap to suit my fast gravel at home, while allowing for switching out a few parts to make those trips to climbing-heavy rides and chunky gravel much more comfortable and fun. If the Grail seemed a little more comfortable/capable on this, or the Seigla had internal storage or better wheels, I think this decision would be a lot easier for me.
